  I completed some more models after my last entry was ready to go. First off is two more of these elves. I'm really close to being done with them.

Painting - Rhys - Space Marines and Fantasy

  I'm getting close to being done with my Space Marines (which I like painting) and my elves, which I really don't like painting. I also have some other models for this week.

Painting - Rhys - Challenge XIV

  This entry is mostly Space Marines. I also have some more of the yucky to paint elves. I'm also adding my second Denethor model, a Greek hoplite and some Chaos Dwarf (Abyssal Dwarf) artillery.

First up are more of my new Space Smurf army.

My dad got me this model in Canterbury when he was in the UK in 2022. He built if for me right before the Challenge.

Painting - Rhys' second entry

 This is Rhys' second entry to the Challenge. He painted four different things this time. Some fantasy and some sci/fi.

First up is the commander for his High Elves.

Very fancy model. Rhys wanted him to stand out with gold.

Gaming - Rangers of Shadow Deep - The first scenario

Last weekend the boys and I played our second game of Rangers of Shadow Deep, though we just played the first scenario a second time. We each had a ranger and two companions. There were a couple of times things got tense, but nine of us seemed to make short work of the zombies, rat swarms and giant bugs that had infested the village.

Painting - Giant Beetles - Reaper Bones for Rangers of Shadow Deep

Here's two giant beetles for Rangers of Shadow Deep. Again, like the rat swarm and giant ticks, these are stand ins for the giant rats, which I have just found.

This entry is two giant ticks from Reaper Miniatures Bones series. I painted these up for Rangers of Shadow Deep when I couldn't find my giant rat miniatures (GW Skaven), though I've now found both the giant rats and some ROUSs (Rodent's of Unusual Size) that I will get painted and on the table.

Painting - Warrior and Wizard

This is a quick post with two models completed. They are not for any particular project but they were sitting around and looked like they would be quick to bang out. Both are Reaper Bones. I've painted another one of the sword guy before so now there are two.

Ragnar - Paladin of Rosmerta

This model is a Reaper Bones model that I bought in the store. He's a solid model with better detail than some of the others I have. The faces, in particular, often suffer in the bones material but this one is fine.

Entry 4 - 7th Challenge - Eight RPG Characters

This next entry is eight RPG characters. These are mostly Bones but there's a couple of other manufacturers and one custom sculpt in here. I apologize for the smallness of some of these pictures. Either something odd is going on with my lenses or, more likely, I've forgotten how to take pictures. Most of the closeups did not come out.

These are two more characters for D&D. One is Bones and one is a GW Ranger of the North from their LotR line.

28mm models for role playing

I've recently started playing D&D for the first time in 25 years. I spent a little money on the first Reaper Bones Kickstarter, so I have a lot of fantasy figures. I offered the guys the chance to pick a model and painted the figures for them. One player wasn't here that night, so he'll have to get one next time.
