Painting - Star Wars Imperial Storm Troopers

This year I'm going to try to get through my nemesis, Storm Troopers. I've been collecting Star Wars Legion since it came out, six or seven years ago. I've painted a fair few models for it but I've always been intimidated by the Storm Troopers (and Scouts and Snows). As an aside, I only play this game with painted models. It forces me to paint up models I want to use. So no Empire up to now.

Painting - Luke and Din Jarin

I am close to having all of the hero options for my rebels painted. I already had two Luke's, so naturally painting the newest one was high on my list of must-dos. Sigh. I had not painted Din Jarin yet though, so getting him completed was necessary if I want to take him in a list.

The new Luke is a great model and a vast improvement on the old soft plastic one.

Painting - GW Mordor Orcs

This week's entry is twenty five GW Mordor orcs. They are a combination of plastic and metal and include two of the ooooold metal orc models from when the line was first started, now re-purposed as captains.

First up, painted as Isengard orcs.

Painting - 12 Riders of Rohan

My entry for this week continues my work on Rohan. This entry is 12 riders for last week's heroes to command.

They look pretty impressive all ranked up together.

These are the core of my Rohan force.

Painting - Rohan guards and heroes

This week's entry is Rohan Royal Guards, captains and Eomer. I've had these models bouncing around for about 20 years, so it's good to get them painted and ready to play.

Eomer, banner bearer, outrider and mounted captain.

(Painting) Lord of the Rings, wharg riders and Radagast

This entry is six wharg riders to go with Sharku from last week. These are, technically, Hunter Orcs, which are Hobbit armies not Isengard, but GW had a gap in production of the normal whargs so I had to buy these.

Six of these dudes.

Painting - Challenge XV - Sharku

This is my first entry of the 15th Challenge. This is not the first thing I've painted since last spring, just the first that I've photographed and posted.

Rhys picked this model out for me as my first model of the Challenge. I've wanted Sharku for years but could never find him in metal; only fine-crap (Finecast, a misnomer if there's ever been one). Last December ('22) I was in the UK and made it to Warhammer World and they had Sharku in metal. Problem solved.

Sharku, Champion of Orcthanc.
