Painting Progress - Bits and bobs and tokens

This latest batch of painted stuff is bits and pieces for a variety of purposes from a variety of manufacturers. They will mostly be used as treasure items in games like Rangers of Shadow Deep (RoSD) or for scatter and looks in D&D.

First off is a suit of armor, two treasure chests and a bill board. The armor and leaning chest are both from North Star and were for Frostgrave. Very nice pieces. The middle chest is part of Mantic's terrain sets and works fine. The bill board is a Nolzur's from Wiz Kids and is for a town square.

Just as nice from the back.

Next up is six treasure tokens, also from Northstar for Frosgrave. These are resin with nice detail and were a breeze to paint up. They'll serve as objectives in Kings of War or treasure in RoSD.

This last batch is, again, a mixed bag. The picture is crap but what we have here is a panther (Nolzur's), two pairs of webbed people (Nolzur's), one webbed dwarf (GW) and one dead Numenorian king (GW). These are all for RoSD. The panther as an animal companion and the rest as clue markers to be found during the missions.

The panther and the webs painted up quickly but are not very detailed. Fit for purpose though. The dead king came with Sauron and is a very nice model. Also easy to paint up but really nice.

All of this together is set dressing for RoSD, which the boys and I are gearing up to play here soon.

    1. Thanks Michael. I think with skirmish games, especially, nice, realistic scenery can really amp up the enjoyment.
