Painting - Abyssal Dwarves from Mantic

Here are three more models from Rhys' Abyssal Dwarf force for Kings of War. He got the starter army for his birthday, in December. I was able to get the unit of slave orcs painted before his birthday, but the task master and his "dog" had to stay hidden since he would have known what they were.

The guy in the center is listed as an Abyssal Dwarf king. He's certainly a big, impressive hero. As always for Rhys' armies, he wants them painted in the colors of his High School. There's not a lot of grey in these guys but the red and the brass tie in with the red and yellow of his school.

Looking at the rear of the king you can see that he's got all sorts of mechanical enhancements. I'm not sure if he's wearing a mechanical suit of armor, or if he's been modified. Either way he towers over the normal sized dwarf next to him.

This model is very, very nice. Great detail and a real feel for the Mantic theme for the Abyssal Dwarf replacements for GWs Chaos Dwarves.
