Old Stuff Day

Today, March 2nd is Old Stuff Day.  In the blogging arena that means pulling out some of your old classics to share with a new audience, or share again with long time readers.

First up is my favorite post, though it is in fifth place for my all time hits.  The Games that Define Us was a meme started by Frontline Gamer in 2012.  I published my article a little late to the game, but it had to rumble around in my brain for awhile before it was ready to come out.  I still go back to this one from time to time.

The next one is one of many battle reports I've posted, mostly for Lord of the Rings.  I'm not sure why this one is so popular, I tend to prefer the ones where I win.  This was a battle between Harad and Gondor and it did not go well for me.  Russ is a good painter so it may just be the eye candy that drew people in.

The last I'd like to bring up is not so much one post as a series that I find useful.  Based on the hit counters for these pages, some get hit a lot and some not at all.  This is the series of manufacturer links that I have up.  I am always excited when I find a new company that I didn't know about before.  If anyone has manufacturers that I should add, please let me know.  I put these together when I'm starting a new period, so they reflect my interests.

For those of you with blogs, I'd love to see some of your favorites from years past.  Little gems that have rolled down the blog roll and been buried deep by all of your recent great posts.

  2. Lord of the rings has to be a popular one with the recent Hobit films along with your battle reports to draw in the visits.
Will be doing a big Lord of the Rings Game at my mates at the end of the month so will try and put that on my blog.

    1. I'm looking forward to seeing your report. I still really like the game, even if they lost me with the new Hobbit offerings.

  3. That was fun, seeing what games brought you along through the hobby.

I might do something like this as some of my favourite posts were from before I began painting. Not many people have seen those.
