I'll prime and paint him like this and do the howdah separately. |
I bought this model at the same time as the rest of my Haradrim, but it has sat in the box since then. I got as far as removing it from the sprues. Now that I will be able to field armies at over 600 points, this baby will have a new home.
I'll be adding some other elements to my army over the next couple of months as well, so keep your eyes peeled in this space.
They do look good when painted up, I'll look forward to your progress!
ReplyDeleteThanks Ray. I agree, it's going to be a great looking model, with or without my painting skills involved.
DeleteHe's impressive, looking forward to the painted version sir!
ReplyDeleteThanks Fran.
DeleteThiswill be fun to follow. Noticd the downs Rohan and horse on the base, this must be massive! Lots of points?

Ian, The base itself has three horses (half) and six guys on it, so lots of extra painting there. I also haven't assembled the howdah yet, which is several inches tall on it's own. The size of this thing is part of the reason I didn't do it when I did the rest of my army. it's been sitting in the basement calling my name for two years.
DeleteMassive! As someone who is only painting 15mm, I don't even know where I'd start on this. I can't wait to see it on a tabletop next year!
ReplyDeleteI have to admit I'm having a bit of that myself. It's big enough I could probably paint it while holding the brush in my teeth. Perhaps that's the way around the shoulder problem.
