This week's entry is twenty five GW Mordor orcs. They are a combination of plastic and metal and include two of the ooooold metal orc models from when the line was first started, now re-purposed as captains.

My entry for this week continues my work on Rohan. This entry is 12 riders for last week's heroes to command.

| They look pretty impressive all ranked up together. |
This week's entry is Rohan Royal Guards, captains and Eomer. I've had these models bouncing around for about 20 years, so it's good to get them painted and ready to play.

| Eomer, banner bearer, outrider and mounted captain. |
This entry is six wharg riders to go with Sharku from last week. These are, technically, Hunter Orcs, which are Hobbit armies not Isengard, but GW had a gap in production of the normal whargs so I had to buy these.

This is my first entry of the 15th Challenge. This is not the first thing I've painted since last spring, just the first that I've photographed and posted.
Rhys picked this model out for me as my first model of the Challenge. I've wanted Sharku for years but could never find him in metal; only fine-crap (Finecast, a misnomer if there's ever been one). Last December ('22) I was in the UK and made it to Warhammer World and they had Sharku in metal. Problem solved.

Today's post is more CIS for Star Wars Legion. My youngest son is interested in playing Legion and he has chosen CIS. These models represent the final models to be painted for his first army list. With these completed he can show up for his first game with a fully painted army.

| Ten models to complete an army. |
There was no entry last week because Rhys and I were off to play in a Star Wars Legion skirmish tournament on plains east of Denver. We had fun but do not really like that format. We really went to support the locals as they are trying to get a Legion group going out there.
This week's entry will be a bit larger than usual as a result. First off is Clan Wren for the rebels.

| Clan Wren. All three of them. |
This week is more B1s for Star Wars Legion. This unit gives me four squads. This is the Orange squad.
![]() |
| More B1s. Same as the other ones. |
This week I painted more elves. And some more fantasy Bones. These are Oathmark elves and I like them a lot better than the GW ones.
![]() |
| These are Oathmark from Northstar. I bought them and put them together all by myself. |
This week is more of the same, though less of it. I completed 16 Morannon Orcs with sword and shield. Actually it's 12 of those, two captains, a shaman and a banner. The Star Wars Legion stuff is still working its way across the table, but hopefully it will be ready for next week.

| The rank and file are shades of brown but I did the Captains with red to help them stand out. |
This week's entry is two more Star Wars Legion models, a dwarf for role playing and some nasty Morannon Orcs to storm Osgiliath and Minas Tirith.
First up are Luke and C3PO. There are several versions of Luke models and two different game versions, a commander and an operative. This is the Operative Luke model.

| His clothes are all black so I went with Black and dark gray with a Nuln Oil wash to give some differentiation. |
This week is a mix of Sci-fi (Star Wars Legion) and Sci-Fi. First off I'm finally done with the elves. This is the wizard for them. She was really hard to paint.
![]() |
| There is so much detail on this model. I tried really hard to make her look right but she was very hard. Dad showed me a sculpture where it looks like she is wearing something over her face and this model has the same thing. (edit: the Veiled Virgin by Giovanni Strazza) |
![]() |
| She has parts of the model going in all different directions. |
This week's entry is Grime the Goblin Wizard, Jyn Erso and more B1's for Star Wars Legion. Jyn will be transporting me back to the entry room as Grimes is a new acquisition.
I actually finished Jyn a few weeks ago but was saving her to help me move around the library.
![]() |
| Jyn is a great model in game. She's surprisingly good in melee. |
This week's entry is Star Wars Legion Rebels from Atomic Mass Games. I recently started playing Rebels, like my dad. I was playing clones but they didn't really fit my play style. The rebels seem to be better.
![]() |
| 24 Rebel Troopers. Ready to die gloriously and loudly for the Rebellion. |
This post is two'ish units of B1 battle droids for Atomic Mass Games' Star Wars Legion. they are a mixture of store bought and 3D prints. There is a blue unit, a red unit and two lone droids for a future purple unit.
![]() |
| 22 Battle droids. Their only virtue is mass. |
I completed some more models after my last entry was ready to go. First off is two more of these elves. I'm really close to being done with them.
![]() |
| Two more leaders. One for spears and one for bows. |
I'm getting close to being done with my Space Marines (which I like painting) and my elves, which I really don't like painting. I also have some other models for this week.
We're back to Star Wars Legion, this time with Boba Fett, Boba Fett and six Mandalorian Super Commandos. Boba is a mercenary that can be taken in several factions, though the two version are used in different factions. The super commandos are part of the Shadow Collective, and also mercenaries. I have four units of these and I want them each different, so these are actually the "last" unit since the others will be painted as Maul loyalists, Death Watch and something else, I guess.
